In the United Prayer Room, we invite people to pray to God as a community. This is a place to connect to others by praying for needs and seeing how God responds.
We want the United Prayer Room to be a welcoming and trustworthy space for all. When submitting requests, please:
- Keep a community focus in mind; while our main priority is prayer for Stone and Taney Counties, we also want to remember needs in our state, our nation, and other countries
- Respect the privacy of individuals by not giving last names or identifying information
- Do not post hyperlinks, ads, spam-like content, copyrighted material, or content – including political content – that OML deems inappropriate
- Remember the importance of posting praise reports of answered prayer; this encourages the prayer warriors and allows us to thank and praise the Lord for His responses
As we follow these guidelines, we honor God, respect each other, and strengthen our community. Thank you for participating in this ministry.

Father, we pray today for our local government officials, elected and appointed. May they pursue wisdom and knowledge from You as they make decisions. May they have a strong desire to be wise servants. We thank You for each one and pray Your blessing on each one and their families. In Jesus name we pray.

Father in Heaven, we thank You for the men and women in the military who gave their lives to defend our nation. They fought and bled, experienced the trauma of war, and yet endured for freedom’s sake – for liberty, for family, for peace in the world. We pray for their families and friends that You would protect and bless them in every way. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that we live in a country founded on Biblical values and have the freedom to uphold these values openly in our churches, homes, schools, and communities. Please give us boldness and courage as we glorify You in our areas of influence. You are the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and the government rests on Your shoulders. You have made us for such a time as this. Give us favor in our pursuit of Your heart and help us win people to Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Our Father in Heaven, we want to lift up our men and women serving in our military at home and abroad. We ask that You guide them as they risk their lives for our freedom. Please protect them from harm and bring them safely home. Above all, we ask that they may know You more deeply every day. In the name of Your Son, Jesus the Christ, we pray. Amen.

Father, we pray for our governmental leaders, that You would work in them wholly surrendered hearts to You and Your purpose for their lives. May they recognize You in every area of their lives, especially in their positions of leadership. We pray protection, wisdom, blessing and humble hearts on them and their families. In Jesus’ name we pray.

Lord, help us to turn our eyes upon You, our Helper and Redeemer. Only You give peace that surpasses all understanding and a hope beyond this world.
As we go throughout each day, help us to be examples of Christ’s love. May we walk in humble confidence of who we are in You, sharing the great gift of salvation through Christ. You are our Strength and Shield. Thank You for the gift of another day. Help us to use it for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

National Day of Prayer
April is the Month of the Military Child.
Dear God, we pray for these children who face the difficulties of frequent moves & long periods of separation from their parents. Give them the strength to overcome the challenges of adapting to new schools & making new friends. Comfort them in times of loneliness & help them to feel Your presence during times when their parents are away serving our country. May they find peace & security in Your love, knowing that You are always with them. Amen.

Oh Father, we have been given an American heritage that undeniably reflects Your favor upon this nation. Let us not forget that. Let us proclaim the wonderful works You have done for us, for our fathers and mothers, and those founding souls who changed the course of history because they tried to be faithful to You. To You be the glory. It is in You, God, that we trust. Amen.

Father, we pray for our local government leaders that they would look to You for wisdom and favor with humble hearts. We also pray for wisdom as we vote on April 8th for local issues including Mayor, Alderman, Trustees, sales & use taxes, school board members, and fire district members. We also pray for state and national leaders that have authority over us that they would look to You for wisdom in all they do. May Your blessing and care be on all that serve.
In Jesus' name we pray.
