1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
We have so much to be thankful for here in Ozark Mountain Country: for the many churches, all a part of The Church, which holds forth the truth of God's Word; for providing activities for us to invite neighbors and friends to come with us, knowing that they will hear about the love of the Savior whose birth we've just celebrated. We are truly blessed. Let's pray that we will always be found thankful and faithful.

Please join me in thanking the Lord for our veterans. May our lives reflect the values they fought to protect. Pray that the Lord will help us to be instruments of His love to support and honor these men and women.

We face this New Year, Lord, confident of Your sovereignty and grace; confident of Your love and care for Your children. We wait for You with gladness; we do not grow weary by daily news. Our hope is secure — mercy and redemption will shine forth within Your people. We thank You for this in Jesus’ name, amen.

Our most important calling is to pray for our government (Derek Prince). Good government provides the platform from which the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be shared far and near.
Of Messiah, Isaiah wrote: "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end."
As you bless your family in prayer this season, bless your nation and its government. God is moving and our agreement with Him in prayer is a necessary element.

Police departments in Ozark Mountain Country are receiving many more calls related to mental health crises and drug abuse. Let’s pray for our police officers as they respond to these calls. May the Lord show us ways to support the police and to also help our neighbors dealing with these issues.

"God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9–11
The greatest Christmas gift ever, cost the most and is worth infinitely more than any other gift ever given.
Let's pray for all the homeless ones that our Nonprofits are attempting to help. Pray that they will not only hear of this gift offered to them but that they will accept it, making them instantly rich and in possession of a gift like no other.

Pray for our country, our state, and our counties as the newly elected officials transition into office in January. Pray for unity and for Godly wisdom to guide every action taken. May we, as citizens, cover each one in prayer daily for their safety and health.

Precious Lord, You displayed Your wondrous works on the day of Your Son’s birth in Bethlehem. Please keep our hearts and minds engaged today, amazed at the extent of Your love. There is no other comfort, apart from this — apart from You: the Prince of Peace, Eternal Father, Mighty God. Of Your kingdom, there shall be no end. We thank You in Jesus’ name, amen.

As families gather for the holidays, many need prayers for unity. When there is division, it may bring up many emotions that are unhealthy. Malachi 4:6 says, "And He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."
Heavenly Father, we pray for restoration and wholeness in families.

Taney County Ambulance District (TCAD) responds to more than 10,000 calls annually. Let’s ask the Lord to give the staff protection from harm, endurance in their work, and gratification in knowing how much their service benefits our communities.
