Prayer Requests

The Apostle Paul says to live our life not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil. (See Ephesians 5:15-16)
Lord, You have given each of us relationships, opportunities, resources, and influence to steward for Your Kingdom. As we serve You each day, please establish the work of our hands, make our efforts fruitful, and help us take every opportunity to advocate for truth, righteousness, and Your glory. We pray this in Jesus' name, amen.

Father, we come before you today grateful for another day of life and another day to live for you. We boldly come before the throne of grace to petition on behalf of all those who struggle with chronic illness. Lord, many of them have to continue to work while managing health, finances and relationships. Please bring them peace. Help them to know that you are near. Bring healing where You will and may this season be used for Your glory. Through Christ we pray. Amen.

God, please grant wisdom to those seeking office this midterm season. Raise up leaders who look to You as their light and salvation, May they serve with humility rather than selfish ambition. May they honor and glorify You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Lord, we need You now more than ever. The shadow of the next election is near and we are desperate for renewal that can only come from You. Be here in our hearts. Be here in our minds. Be here in our land. In God we still trust. Amen.

Father, As we come before you as a nation celebrating and often resting on this Labor Day, thank you for the finished work of the Lord Jesus. Thank you that he accomplished the work and did it perfectly, so that all who believe are a part of Your family. Lord, we lift up all those who are on the front lines of healthcare today. Bless them and their efforts as they continue to serve our community. To You be the glory. Amen.

Father in Heaven, thank You for the men and women who gave their lives to defend our nation. Help us to never forget these who fought and bled for freedom’s sake, for liberty, for family, for peace in the world.
We pray for their families and friends. Please protect them and bless them in every way. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You for another week to be salt and light unto You. We boldly ask that our communities would be healed and may it begin with unifying the church so that it can be a conduit of Your love and truth. May our hospitals always do what is right on behalf of the people they serve, and may the regulators establish appropriate guidelines that will reward such behavior. Thank you, Lord, for the hope that we have beyond this life, where we will experience complete healing. Thank you that the bill has been paid in full, because of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before you today with grateful hearts, lifting up all nonprofits and churches. Lord give leaders in every church and nonprofit the wisdom to see the path ahead. Help them to make smart choices that honor and best serve you and our community. Show them where to put their time, money, and energy so they don't grow tired. I pray this in Jesus name ... Amen

Heavenly Father, our souls long for revival in our midst. Let Your light shine in America. May Your name be hallowed once again. May love, mercy and goodness reign that we may rejoice in Your mighty works forever. Amen.

Father, we come before you thankful that you go before us in all things. By Your Grace, CoxHealth is enjoying a new cohort of Chaplain Residents that are beginning their journey today. Transition can be difficult, Lord. Give them peace as You remind them of all that you have brought them through in ministry and in life. Do the same for all the students starting school this week. To you be the glory! Amen.

It's back to school time. Let's pray for:
* Wisdom & discernment for School Boards & Admin staff
* Peace, focus & confident endurance for the teachers as they prepare for the new year
* Hearts for truth and eager to learn for students
* Parents and caregivers to be intentional in preparing their children to return to school
* God to move mightily in the Tri-Lakes area in our families to bring wholeness & anoint those who know Him in the schools to be part of the process

Lord, please show us how we can be Your hands and feet in our communities. Give us Your wisdom and strategies. You are moving in this hour, and we purpose in our hearts to move with You! We pray these things in the mighty and all-powerful name of Jesus, trusting and believing that You hear us and will answer us. Amen.
