Please pray for our state legislators over the next 48 hours as the continue to work out the educational funding portion of the state budget. There is much debate over whether to fund public schools only or to fund public schools and shift some funds to private schools as well. Pray for God's wisdom and direction for each legislator. Ask God to give them ears to hear and hearts to obey His direction. And pray for their focus to be finding what's best for the children rather than political partisanship.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for a new day filled with Your blessings and mercy. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” May we each live with joyful hearts because we have You, and You are joy, and You are love. When life is confusing, difficult, and stressful, may we find peace and joy in Your love for us. In Your precious name we pray, Amen

Throughout the month of May let's pray for the Forsyth School district. Over the next week let's lift up the administration and their support staff. Pray for wisdom & discernment for the superintendent and principals as they meet the daily demands of running a K12 school in an ever changing educational culture. Ask the Lord to strengthen, enable and energize them and their staff to extend themselves to students and faculty on a daily basis to listen, problem solve and comfort where needed. And ask the Father to meet each one where they need Him the most and bring forth His will in their lives.

God of hope, You’re our true and eternal hope, our salvation and our source of security and strength. We pour out prayers each person who is heavyhearted, hurting, or hopeless and needing to be filled with all that You’ve prepared, promised, and purposed for their lives. Thank You for filling us with the joy and peace of believing in Your Son, that we can abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
