We want the United Prayer Room to be a welcoming and trustworthy space for all. When submitting requests, please:
- Keep a community focus in mind; while our main priority is prayer for Stone and Taney Counties, we also want to remember needs in our state, our nation, and other countries
- Respect the privacy of individuals by not giving last names or identifying information
- Do not post hyperlinks, ads, spam-like content, copyrighted material, or content – including political content – that OML deems inappropriate
- Remember the importance of posting praise reports of answered prayer; this encourages the prayer warriors and allows us to thank and praise the Lord for His responses
As we follow these guidelines, we honor God, respect each other, and strengthen our community. Thank you for participating in this ministry.

Heavenly Father, as a chaplain in the hospital, I am grateful for the opportunity to bring your presence near to people who are suffering. May you guide the steps of all the chaplains who are serving in various health-care capacities, from disaster relief to hospital to hospices. Grant us wisdom to navigate the betwixt and between in which we find ourselves. May your kingdom be advanced as a result of our efforts. In Jesus' holy name, Amen.

Gracious God, today we pray for the first responders. We ask that you infuse them with a sense of purpose, recognizing that they not only fulfill a vital service but also minister as life-saving agents. Help them to not grow weary in doing good. Guard their hearts, so they do not become jaded in this crucial work. Protect them. Steady their hands. Sharpen their minds as they work long shifts. Lift up their hearts when their attempts at sustaining life fall short. May their successes be ever before them. In Jesus' holy name, Amen.

Gracious God, there are few things that burden our hearts like the suffering of little children. Today, we pray for children who are facing various illnesses. Though their suffering is difficult to understand, we understand that our regard for them is eclipsed by your regard for them, for they are Your children. As CoxHealth seeks to expand pediatric medical care in Southwest Missouri, may you bless these efforts. May the physicians be gifted by the Great Physician. May the entire care team exhibit Your care for the little children and their families. Specifically, we pray for Molly today as she faces childhood cancer. We pray for her healing and for your grace and peace upon her and her family. In Jesus' sacred name, Amen.

Gracious God, we thank you that you regard us in your great mercy and grace. Help us to share your heart and care for "the least of these"--the infirm, the frail, the dying. And by doing so, may we recognize your face in those we care for. Today, we pray for the staff who are caring for the patients and families on comfort care. As these patients near death and their families grieve, may they be cared for by people who incarnate the love and mercy of Jesus. In his holy name, Amen.

Father, we are so privileged to better understand your heart as we consider our kiddos. We know that you formed them in their mother's womb, and we know that the Lord Jesus gave them the place of honor ("Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.") Please be near to our kiddos in the labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care, and pediatric units. Give wisdom and guidance to those caring for these special patients that You have given us the privilege to serve. Through Christ our Lord, we pray. Amen.

Father, thank you that you are the Great Physician. Thank you that you are trustworthy and faithful. We boldly come before you to ask that you would guide and direct the hands, feet and minds of the healthcare workers in our area. Give them tremendous insight into the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of those they care for. Additionally, help us to be good stewards of those you have entrusted to us. To you be the glory. Amen.

Father, we come before you today on behalf of a dear brother who is in great need of your help. Please draw close to Reason, who severed an artery yesterday and endured over 5 hours of surgery. Thank you for sparing his life. Please help the artery to heal so that his leg might also be saved. Hold up his beloved wife and family during this most difficult time. To you be the glory as we rest in your provision. In Christ we pray. Amen.

Lord, draw near to those who have sacrificed their very lives for the freedom of many. Bless the families of those fallen heroes. Thank you for the Lord Jesus who willingly gave his life to provide eternal freedom to all who believe.
Please guide and direct those on the front lines in healthcare this week. May they be your hands and your feet as they care for those in need. Amen.

Father, we would like to praise you for your provision and favor. Thank you for your help as we have gained permission to expand chaplaincy across the healthcare system. You are so good and your timing is perfect. We trust you as we work out the details as well. To You be the glory! Amen.

Lord, we know you say that we should not hinder the little children. We also know that in this world children are vulnerable to all types of suffering. Please guide and direct the frontline medical staff to identify victims of abuse and human trafficking. Help us to have the awareness and resources to provide help. Lord, protect our children. For Your glory we pray. Amen.
