We want the United Prayer Room to be a welcoming and trustworthy space for all. When submitting requests, please:
- Keep a community focus in mind; while our main priority is prayer for Stone and Taney Counties, we also want to remember needs in our state, our nation, and other countries
- Respect the privacy of individuals by not giving last names or identifying information
- Do not post hyperlinks, ads, spam-like content, copyrighted material, or content – including political content – that OML deems inappropriate
- Remember the importance of posting praise reports of answered prayer; this encourages the prayer warriors and allows us to thank and praise the Lord for His responses
As we follow these guidelines, we honor God, respect each other, and strengthen our community. Thank you for participating in this ministry.

Heavenly Father, we pray for our leaders in government at every level. May they be quick to hear and slow to speak. Open their eyes that they may see when they are being manipulated by those seeking their own self-interests to the detriment of the rest of the citizens. Please give them courage to stand against that manipulation. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for a special blessing upon our legislators. Bless their families, keep them safe. You chose them to serve in such a time as this. Help them to live up to the challenges they face in representing us. Help us to serve them in return, by remembering them often in prayer. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Dear Lord, help the men and women in Congress discern what is best. We pray for a culture of life to thrive on Capitol Hill and in Jefferson City. We pray for policies that support the family as the unit You created for human flourishing. Help us, as citizens, to provide constructive support for those elected to represent us. This we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

Holy Father, we pray for the new Congress. Grant them wisdom and a sense of duty and honor. May they desire to love You above all, and their neighbors as themselves. As iron sharpens iron, let each member sharpen one another for the good of their families, their constituents, and the country. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, our nation has turned from You and so have many of our nation’s leaders. We humbly ask You to forgive us.
Please bring low all government officials who would seek to cause permanent harm to our republic in the name of their own self-gratification and hunger for power.
We also ask with confidence that You would raise up the “Daniels” who will not sway to government persecution, and the “Davids” who will honor You in every way as they serve the people through their public service. Bless the work of their hands as they seek to honor You. We ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.

Please join me in thanking the Lord for our veterans. May our lives reflect the values they fought to protect. Pray that the Lord will help us to be instruments of His love to support and honor these men and women.

Our most important calling is to pray for our government (Derek Prince). Good government provides the platform from which the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be shared far and near.
Of Messiah, Isaiah wrote: "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end."
As you bless your family in prayer this season, bless your nation and its government. God is moving and our agreement with Him in prayer is a necessary element.

Pray for our country, our state, and our counties as the newly elected officials transition into office in January. Pray for unity and for Godly wisdom to guide every action taken. May we, as citizens, cover each one in prayer daily for their safety and health.

Father God, You are our Provider. Please give the economists in our government prudence in dealing with the economy and wisdom in restoring it. Help Congress to put aside its partisanship to focus on what is best for the people. We lift up businesses, ministries, workers, and families knowing that You will provide for them. In Jesus’ name, amen.
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV)
