Ozark Mountain Legacy is a non-profit public charity that was launched in 2015 for the purpose of preserving and championing the Core Values of Ozark Mountain Country.
The Core Values of these Holy Hills are evident in the legacies of James Forsyth (founder of School of the Ozarks), Harold Bell Wright (author of Shepherd of the Hills), Guy Howard (author of his autobiography, The Walking Preacher of the Ozarks), Spike and Joe White (owners of Kanakuk Kamps), and Jack and Pete Herschend (owners of Silver Dollar City).
Our service is to preserve and champion the Core Values that these individuals passed on to us… Families, Faith, Friends, Flag and Future. These Core Values in today’s world are a beacon of light… A City on a Hill.
What sets all charities apart from each other is their purpose, or vision.
Our vision is, “The Legacy of the Ozark Mountain Spirit lives ~ Pass it on!” We believe the legacy of our generation is to pass on the same Core Values that were gifted to us from the previous generations.
