Matching Volunteers with Community Needs

GIVE 5

About The Program

Give 5 Hours per Month to a Cause You Choose!

GIVE 5 is a free and innovative program designed for active retirees who want to connect with, learn about, and help their community.

Matching the unique skills and talents of seniors with non-profit needs, fills a critical void for the agencies serving our community and helps retirees find greater purpose and meaning. It’s a win-win!

How GIVE 5 Works

For one day per week, over four consecutive weeks, GIVE 5 participants enjoy visits to several of the area’s most interesting nonprofit and public service organizations. They learn about the greatest needs at these agencies and throughout their community. They connect with other active retirees who are community-minded and want to make a positive difference in this area. They share laughs, learning, and friendship.

After completing at least three of the four sessions, participants are asked to consider committing to five hours of volunteer time per month for a cause of their choice.
